Greetings from the President

Rev. Dr. T. LaMont Holder
For over 20 years, Dr. T. La Mont Holder has made it his mission to equip, encourage and ... more

It is with great enthusiasm and humbleness that I warmly greet each of you and welcome you to our Convention website.

Beginning April 1, and continuing on April 3-5, 2017, we will convene our 126th Adjourned Session to be hosted by the Calvary Baptist Church, where I am privileged to serve as the senior pastor.

This is a special session as we will install the new administration. Each one of our cabinet members are committed to serving the Lord Jesus and our great Convention in the capacities of which they have been selected.

Please note the Highlights of the upcoming services;

  • The opening session will be on Saturday,  April 1, with the Laymen
  •  Monday night April 3, at 7:00 P.M., we will have our Investiture Service for the newly elected President and Cabinet.  We will be honored to have as our special guest, Dr. Jerry Young, president of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc.
  • Tuesday night April 4, following the Oratorical Contest, on Rev. Dr. Selwyn Q. Bachus of the Salem Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska, will be our guest preacher.
  • Wednesday night April 5, to close us out our Evangelistic Night Services we are blessed to have The Rev. Dr. Sedric D. Veal of the Temple Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio with us.
 I am excited about what God is positioning Our Convention to do and look forward to sharing with you my vision for our Convention. During this time of transition please know that we are no stronger than our constituent membership; therefore, I encourage all of our State Convention churches to register and meet us in Wichita for the Adjourned Session. I make a special appeal to all Convention pastors to support our efforts to “Build A New Path Forward Together…”. This Convention needs your voice and support.

It is with much anticipation that I look forward to seeing and greeting each of you at the Adjourned Session. Until then be blessed and safe travels!
